Kenosha Pass MTB Ride Sept. 06
Near Georgia pass, the photo on the left is about as far as we could go without doing some trudging or hurting the landscape.
Located outside of Bailey on 285, Kenosha is about a 3hr, mid to upper
technical skills trail (as far as we went with the recent snow).
About 40 minutes from Denver, we hooked up with the FRMB (Front Range
Mtb Yahoo Group). Was great riding with you guys, will definitely meet
up for the next event.
Keep an eye out here on the DRC for our upcoming group rides.
Matthews/Winters MTB Ride Aug. 06
The pic here is from the top of Dakota Ridge, one of the most technical and tough parts of the entire trail.
A good ride, the day started at the base of Green Mountain, where we
scurried up Zoro, to Dakota Ridge. From there we went S. around the
Hogback to the base of Red Rocks.
There we joined Red Rocks up to
Matthews/Winters. Overrall the ride was about a level 6. Some substantial climbs, a few
super-rocky sections like this, and some big stairs to step up, a diverse trail worth the workout. Give it
a try.
